The following itinerary is just a recommended trek route for 20 days trek. This can be modified as per your need. We are flexible enough to modify the trip itinerary.

Three High Passes Trek Permit

The TIMS card is no longer required for Everest High Pass Trek. Instead you buy  National Park Entrance Ticket and Khumbu Pasang Lhamu Rural Municipality pass – both NPR 5,000 and both available on the trail. In addition, you need Sagarmartha National Park permit that can be purchased in Kathmandu. You will be asked for these permits anywhere throughout the course.

Everest Base Camp 3

Everest Base Camp 3 is another name for Everest High Pass Trek/ Everest Circuit Trek. It is called so because we go to 3 passes : Cho, Kongma, Renjo along with EBC in this trail.

Three High Pass Difficulty

The three high passes on the Three High Passes Trek are all above 5400m in height. They ought not be tried by those without good level of physical fitness or without past trekking/climbing experience.

The number of days required to complete three high passes trek/ any other course depends upon your speed to trek, number of rest days you trek and from where you start trek.

With Mount Everest 8848, we start our trip from Kathmandu while actual trek starts from Lukla. So it will be 20 days trek in three passes. Please find the itinerary section for 20 days trek route.

Accommodation on High Pass Trek

As we will be trekking to the rural and high altitudes, we can’t expect 5 – Star hotel there. Generally, you can find teahouses and guest houses which generally costs Rs. 400 ($4). The charge of room depends upon the type of hotels. If they are big and new they charge high. If the hotels are old, they charge less.

Three Passes Trek - Food

During Everest high pass trek, you can have simple meals (Dal Bhat). You can also order for different food items like egg, omlets. However, you may not get every type of food. You have to consider this. Generally you will be charge $7-9 for lunch and so does for breakfast. So, in average you will spend $30/day for food only.

Can we have internet access?

Yes, you can have access to the internet in 3 Passes Trek. There is internet called Everest Link. You have to pay $6 for 200MB of internet. You can also use NCELL or NTC sim cards to use the internet.

Can we get ATM around?

There are number of ATMS in Namche Bazar. However, they remain cashless and turned off several times. So, its better to take all cash that you planned to spend with you.

What will be total budget for Everest Three High Pass Trek?

The total budget depends on how much you spend. Generally, in 3 Pass Trekking, you will be charged  $5 for a single room and $30 for food per day. It includes three times of food. You need additional $60 for all permits and necessary documents. In overall with guides and porter costs, you can complete the whole trek in $900.

You can make Everest 3 High Passes Trek Independtly. For this you can follow the provided itinerary and other facts. You can freedom of everything if you plan to go solo. However, you will face the challenges of finding the route, proper food and accommodation if you trek on your own.
